Beach Nourishment, Borrow Areas, Dredging, and Marine Mining

CSA International has conducted more than 50 beach nourishment and borrow area projects, and over 75 other dredging related studies since 1970. These projects have been performed throughout the Gulf of Mexico, Atlantic seaboard, and Caribbean Sea. In addition, CSA International prepared the international "Synthesis and Analysis of Existing Information Regarding the Environmental Effects of Marine Mining." CSA International marine mining projects also include four major environmental studies associated with assessing potential environmental impacts of extracting sand from federal resource areas on the Outer Continental Shelf. CSA International clients for beach nourishment, borrow area, dredging, and marine mining projects include the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; U.S. Department of the Interior, Minerals Management Service; U.S. Environmental Protection Agency; State, county, and local agencies; private developments; and engineering firms. Diverse CSA International services are provided to expedite the planning and implementation of these projects.
